Spring Status Update
Spring has arrived and several projects are at various stages of development at GBSA! Major renovations to the “student street” at MacCorry Hall, Queen’s University will begin construction in June. The work includes numerous upgrades to the Geography department offices and lecture halls as well as to the interior pedestrian street that traverses through the building. Four separate renovations to schools in Waterloo and Cambridge with the Waterloo District School Board are also underway. The new St. Clair/Silverthorn Branch Library with Toronto Public Library will go to tender shortly. The $ 11 million St. Simon Catholic School with the Toronto Catholic District School Board is in construction and is expected to open early in the New Year. GBSA also has several interior projects underway with both the public and private sector . Construction has begun on new offices at the York Region Head Office Complex on Yonge Street in Newmarket. In addition several interior projects in the GTA are underway with the Province of Ontario. Earlier this week Thornbury Cidery, in Thornbury, Ontario designed by GBSA had its official opening. Design work is beginning on two branch libraries for the City of Mississauga. The summer is shaping up to be very busy but we intend to take time to enjoy the warm weather!
