UTM CUP-1 Office Renovation

The Central Utilities Plant (CUP-1) located at the University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM) services the utilities infrastructure and 24/7 operations of its campus buildings including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, security and life safety systems. To accommodate the rising number of shift engineers and staff members, this 2,250 sf office renovation within the plant was redesigned to include an expanded control room cladded with corrugated metal siding, meeting room, offices, barrier-free washroom, janitor's closet and change rooms equipped with washrooms, showers, custom-designed white oak benches and locker amenities. Mechanical, electrical, lighting and security systems were upgraded including the building's main entrance. An opening within the existing exterior precast panels was provided to accommodate new windows for the offices.
