With all the talk of tearing down the gardiner expressway it is refreshing to see someone building with it.

Office Trip to Soup Nutsy

Office lunch trip to Soup Nutsy just down the street at Metro Hall. They make a variety of fresh soups everyday and also offer several wraps, sandwiches and healthy snacks. Although the tuna sandwich I had was ok, the restaurant-like soups were amazing. The taste of the New England Clam Chowder was above most restaurants and the interior was brightly lit.

One interesting feature is that they provide paper (not plastic!) bags for you to take away your meal. We saw many people on the streets holding these bags as we were heading there.

On the side of the bag it states:

"Help us reduce and re-use. Bring back your Soup Nutsy bag on your next visit and receive 25 cents off your next purchase. Limit: One bag per purchase."

Now that's clever! Although it's not the cheapest of all places, their soups are definitely worthy of a try! Why didn't I discover this place earlier??
